2026 Calendar Photographers Announced

OGLESBY, IL — The Starved Rock Foundation is proud to announce the photographers whose work has been selected for inclusion in the 2026 Starved Rock & Matthiessen Calendar. After a highly competitive review process, seventeen images were chosen from a large number of submissions—each one capturing a distinct and inspiring glimpse of the parks we all love.

This year’s featured photographers are: Scott Anderson, MaKade Rios, Paula Guttilla, Courtney DiLorenzo, Darcy Berg, David Anderson, Terry Warren, Sabrina Ory, Janice Hoge, Abram Pender, Chet Phillips, Kyle Petersen, Kate Reed, and Matthew Klein.

The selected images represent some of the best views of Starved Rock and Matthiessen, highlighting the parks through the seasons—from icy waterfalls and autumn canyons to quiet river overlooks and spring wildflowers.

“This calendar is representative of the parks themselves—diverse, beautiful, and full of life,” said Matthew Klein, Calendar Creator and Vice President of the Starved Rock Foundation. “We received incredible submissions this year. Some of the photographers are seasoned professionals, while others are just discovering their passion for photography. Their work was captured with everything from professional cameras to smartphones, proving that you don’t need expensive gear to share a powerful moment.”

Now in its sixth year, the calendar project has become an important tradition, raising more than $25,000 to support Starved Rock and Matthiessen through the all-volunteer Starved Rock Foundation. 100% of proceeds benefit park improvements, educational programs, and visitor experiences, with every calendar purchase matched dollar-for-dollar by the Miller Group Charitable Trust (up to $8,500).

Calendars are available online at starvedrockhikers.com/product-page/2026-calendar and in-store at multiple regional retailers while supplies last.

High-resolution images, photographer interviews, and media materials are available upon request.
